Two drown at Sandspit beach

KARACHI: Two men drowned in the sea at Sandspit beach on Sunday, officials said.

Mauripur SHO Anser Iqbal said that a family from Orangi Town had arrived at Sandspit beach for a picnic, where two youths drowned while swimming.

Edhi volunteers managed to recover Jamshed Waseem, 26, in an unconscious condition. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The officer said that another man, identified as Ahsan, could not be traced till midnight.
