Dental dept of DHQ hospital closed

SWABI, Oct 17: The dental department of the DHQ Hospital was closed down to protest against the suspension of a technician on disciplinary grounds.

According to details, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital suspended the dental department technician, Mohammad Ishaq, on the charge of negligence of duties and disobedience some days ago.

The dental department in-charge, Dr Anwar Ali, said that he was not consulted before the suspension of the technician which was against the practice and left on medical leave as a protest.

The hospital sources said that in the absence of two persons, there was no one to run the dental department and it had been locked.

Meanwhile the patients criticized the hospital staff and alleged that they remained in league with each other to fleece the poor patients, forcing them to get themselves treated at their private clinics and paid huge fees while using the hospital as a bargaining spot.

SHOT DEAD: A woman was killed and a man was injured when two families clashed in Bisak village of Gadoon here on Wednesday morning.

According to sources, Saeeda was shot dead while Bakht Zada was injured when their opponents opened fire on them. The woman was killed on the spot while the injured was taken to the local hospital.

The mother of the deceased has lodged an FIR against Gul Nawaz and Abdul Karim.

The cause of the incident was stated to be rivalry between the two families over a petty issue.
