PIND DADAN KHAN (Jhelum district): Embarking on his tour of the flood-hit areas of the country, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today [Aug 11] visited some of the worst-affected places in Sargodha and Rawalpindi divisions assuring the sufferers that the Federal and Provincial Governments would make all possible efforts to help them. He announced the institution of the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund with immediate effect with appeal to the people for generous contributions. — News agencies

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Colombo,] Bangladesh leader Maj Gen Ziaur Rahman warned India today [Aug 11] that Bangladesh will not be pressurised by its larger neighbour. The Bangladesh Army Chief of Staff, who is in Colombo to represent his country at the non-aligned summit meeting, told newsmen: “We should not be pressurised. That will not work.” Gen Ziaur Rahman said … that India was setting up camps across [BD’s] eastern and western borders to train [BD] refugees in guerrilla warfare and subversion.
