GUJRAT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration authorities on Monday offloaded a passenger who was travelling to Italy on a fake residence card from the Sialkot International Airport.
An official of the agency said that during immigration clearance, it was found out that the purported Italian Residence Card of Kamran Munsif was fake.
During the questioning, the air passenger revealed that, while in Pakistan, he contacted his Indian friend, Surjeet Singh, residing in Italy to obtain his residence card. Surjeet demanded EUR 2,600, which Munsif paid to him in Italy, and thereafter received the card via a courier service in Pakistan.
Kamran Munsif was sent to Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Gujranwala office of FIA zone for further legal proceedings.
