RAWALPINDI: The district administration on Monday directed the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to complete tree plantation and beautification work in the city by August 20.
An important meeting regarding the timely completion of the city’s beautification, tree plantation and renovation projects was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir at his office.
The meeting was attended by all assistant commissioners, the chief officer of the district council, the chief officer of the municipal corporation, the managing director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) and other officials.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of the progress of ongoing beautification, parks, green belts, highways and other renovation projects in Rawalpindi city. The officials briefed the deputy commissioner on the current status and progress of the ongoing projects.
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir directed that all ongoing beautification schemes aimed at making Rawalpindi more beautiful, green and attractive should be completed by August 20.
He said no delay in the completion of the projects would be tolerated and directed all institutions concerned to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe in coordination with each other.
He directed the officers to provide daily updates on the progress of beautification projects and share the daily progress of parks, roads, green belts and other ongoing schemes along with geo-tagged photographs to ensure effective monitoring of the quality and pace of work.
The deputy commissioner further said the objective of Rawalpindi’s beautification projects was to provide citizens with a clean, green and beautiful environment.
