QUETTA: Senior politician and former senator Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani said the people of Balochistan themselves must determine the province’s future, urging Baloch, Pashtun, Hazara, settler communities and religious minorities to unite for the protection of their political, economic and constitutional rights.
Addressing a large public gathering in Quetta, Mr Raisani said the initiative aimed to promote unity and solidarity to steer the province out of its ongoing political and economic crises.
He alleged that both the ruling coalition and opposition parties were pursuing the same political agenda and had failed to represent the interests of ordinary citizens. He claimed political parties had sidelined genuine workers in favour of individuals who secured parliamentary seats through the influence of money, leaving the public without effective representation.
