PESHAWAR: A terror plot was foiled in the provincial capital on Thursday after the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused explosives, including an IED, explosive material and hand grenades.

According to police, a Suzuki pickup truck parked at Milad Chowk was found carrying hand grenades and other explosive material. The BDS took the vehicle into custody and safely neutralised all the explosives, preventing a potential terrorist attack.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the ownership of the vehicle and identify those responsible.
