LAHORE: An exhibition featuring rare historical documents, artefacts, and photographs commenced at the Punjab Archives Museum inside the civil secretariat on Wednesday to mark Independence Day.
Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman inaugurated the event, which has been organised by the Punjab Archives and Libraries Wing of the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD).
The exhibition will remain open to the public, historians, and researchers until Aug 14.
On display are rare documents spanning the Mughal, Sikh, and British colonial eras, alongside historical gold and silver coins, antique currency, period weaponry, and royal seals. Lithographic nature prints from the Punjab Archives’ collection are also being exhibited.
