KARACHI, July 18: Baldia Town Nazim Kamran Akhtar on Tuesday reviewed the replacement work of water pipelines in UC 5, Sector D-3 of Gulberg town here.

He said the replacement of these 15-inch and 8-inch diameter water pipelines, would lead provision of potable water to every house of the town, adding lying of 3,000 feet long pipeline could provide sufficient quantity of water to the residents of Sector D-3. He said that the CDGK was committed to solve the problems of citizens.

He assured the residents that after completion of lying of water and sewerage lines, flooring of streets would soon also be completed. He said that due to lack of funds, they had been facing some hurdles. Hhowever, the town had allocated sufficient funds for uplift projects.

Shah Faisal town nazim Mohammad Imran said on Tuesday that effective measures were needed to root out polio and other fatal diseases, people can play a positive role in provision of healthy environment to masses.

He stated this while, addressing a joint meeting of Shah Faisal town's nazims, naib nazims, councillors, town municipal administration and health department officials, in connection with national drive against polio, at town hall here.

Jamshed town nazim Mohammad Arif Ajakya on Tuesday called for taking steps to control the power crisis and suggested that fluctuated power load can be ended by increasing number of grid stations in the town.In a meeting with KESC's DGM Estate Mohammad Sami and his team here, the town nazim asked them to perform their duties under an efficient strategy to control the power issues in Lines Area, Jacob Line, Mehmoodabad and other areas of the town.—PPI
