LAHORE: A huge fire broke out in a multi-storey shopping plaza at MM Alam Road late on Sunday.
Rescue 1122 staff reached the site and launched efforts to control the blaze. Some video clips which surfaced later spotted dense smoke and flames coming out of the Mart Plaza.
A spokesperson for the Rescue 1122 said that his department received an emergency call of a major fire. “We sent many teams along with the fire extinguishers,” he said
He said that the fire erupted at the second floor of the Mart Plaza which spread fast before the launch of the rescue work.
Efforts were underway to control the blaze till filing of this report at 11:30pm.
