FBISE, FDE win digital transformation awards

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have won Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2026 for their digital initiatives.

According to a press release issued on Friday, FBISE was honoured with a Public Sector Digital Transformation Award 2026 for its flagship “Departure from Pencil to Pixel” initiative at the inaugural TAF-ABL Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2026, organised by the Tech Advisory Forum (TAF) in collaboration with Allied Bank Limited (ABL), Ignite, National Technology Fund, and Pakistan Single Window (PSW).

The award was received by FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik, who represented the board at the national ceremony attended by Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Malik dedicated the award to the entire FBISE team and reaffirmed the board’s commitment to leveraging technology for transparent, efficient and student-centric examination services.

Meanwhile, the Federal Directorate of Education’s Digital Hub Connected Classrooms Project was recognised as the Best Project in the Public Sector Innovation of the Year category.

The awards were presented by Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, along with a representative of the Asian Development Bank, in the presence of government officials, development partners and leaders from the technology sector.
