ISLAMABAD: Students of Lawrence College Ghora Gali in Murree displayed exceptional athletic ability, discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship at the college’s annual sports day.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances, athletics competitions, the Junior Section tug-of-war contest, impressive martial arts demonstrations, and several other sporting events.
“The college’s motto, “Never Give In,” was reflected throughout the event in the students’ determination, resilience and outstanding performances,” says a press release.
Retired Major General Irfan Khan, Chairman of the Lahore Garrison Education System, was chief guest on the occasion.
In his address, Principal Brigadier Jawad Ahmad Zaka encouraged students to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in sports. He said that Lawrence College’s enduring traditions foster character building, leadership, and a spirit of national service.
Addressing the gathering, General Irfan Khan reflected on his cherished memories of Lawrence College and urged students to adopt the college motto, “Never Give In,” as their guiding principle in life. He stated that perseverance, hard work, and discipline are the true foundations of success, adding that Lawrence College has always produced leaders who have made distinguished contributions to the nation.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, prizes were awarded to students who delivered outstanding performances in various competitions.
