ZIARAT: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today [July 29] paid flying visits to Kohlu and Loralai where addressing large crowds he declared that the promise of development and progress made by his Government has been faithfully fulfilled, and that justice would be done to all sections of people in Baluchistan. While his speech at Kohlu, once a stronghold of Marri Sardars, was heavily weighted against the Sardari system, he highlighted the achievements of his Government in the service of Islam and the people at Loralai.

He categorically told the Pukhtoons in Loralai that his Government would not discriminate against them as was being alleged by certain elements. The allocations made for Baluchistan would be justly … distributed for the uniform development of all areas ... inhabited by Baluchs, Pathans, Brohis, Hazaras and others. At Kohlu … [he] said that Quaid-i-Azam had envisaged a Pakistan for the poor people ... and not to have “states within the State” for Sardars and big landlords to keep the people under their servitude. … Amidst thunderous applause, he declared that the Sardari system was done away with... . — News agencies
