SAHIWAL: A local landlord’s 32-year-old son was shot dead over suspicion of police informer and spying for police at village 96/9-L on Tuesday morning.
Reports said two days ago police raided the houses of suspects Subhan, Saddam, and Qadeer at village 188/9-L. The suspects believed that Muhammad Imran, son of landlord Abdul Majeed, spied for police and tipped off the police. Out of this grudge, four armed men Subhan, Qadeer and their two unidentified accomplices arrived on motorcycles while Imran was asleep in the cattle shed. They opened fire on him and fled. Rescue 1122 sources said Imran died at the spot.
Yousafwala Police reached the scene after a call was made to helpline 15 and registered a case under Sections 302 and 34 of PPC against Subhan, Qadeer and two unknown suspects on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Rahmat Ali.
Police are yet to arrest the suspects.
