RAWALPINDI: A motorcycle rider was hit and killed by an unknown vehicle in Naseerabad area while another person attempted suicide in Dhoke Chaudhrian on Tuesday.

The first incident happened in the limits of Naseerabad police where a motorcyclist was hit and killed by an unidentified vehicle.

According to police reports, Muhammad Safeer, 21, a resident of Qasimabad, was going on his motorcycle when an unknown vehicle hit him from behind on Peshawar Road.

As a result, he sustained head injuries and died on the spot. Rescue 1122 staff reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ). Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, A man attempted suicide by consuming an excessive dose of tablets in Dhoke Chaudhrian on Tuesday.

According to the initial police report, a 35-year-old man allegedly consumed an excessive quantity of tablets. After his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the district headquarters hospital.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
