DADU: Heavy rainfall over the Kirthar mountain range has triggered a surge in the Gaj River, causing flash flooding in the Johi area.

According to local reports, the water level in the Gaj River has risen to approximately four feet, inundating low-lying areas of the Kachho region. The flooding has also disrupted transportation with several link roads becoming impassable.

As a result, more than 10 villages in the union councils of Sawro and Pat Gul Muhammad have been cut off from Johi city after road access was severed by floodwaters.

Local authorities are monitoring the situation as residents face difficulties in travel and access to essential services.
