ISLAMABAD, July 17: The commerce ministry has notified the list of machinery and equipments allowed for import in second-hand and used condition.

According to the list issued here on Monday by the ministry, the import of construction machinery includes -- machinery/plant for screening, sorting separating or washing; Machinery/Plant for crushing or grinding; Mixing machine/concrete batching plant; Concrete transit mixers; Machines for mixing mineral substances with bitumen irrespective of capacity; and Asphalt plant, irrespective of capacity.

The ground handling equipment includes — Air start unit, Ambu-lifter, Baggage tractor, Baggage trolley, Cherry picker, Conveyor belt, Towing tractor, Container dolly, Coaster (AC), Hi-lift loader, Lower lobe loader, Main deck loader, Passenger steps, Catering vans, Tow bar, Passenger bus, Pallet dolly, Pickup, Push back tractors, Transporters and Toilet car.

The medical equipment includes -- X-Ray machine, Dialysis machine, Anaesthesia apparatus, Reverse Osmosis equipment, and Ophthalmic instruments and appliances. While the security equipments allowed includes -- X-Ray Machine for screening/scanning purpose; Close circuit TV Cameras and Surveillance Cameras.
