ISLAMABAD, July 16: All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) has appealed to the chief justice of Supreme Court to constitute a special commission to expose the elements and objectives behind the assassination of religious leader Allama Hassan Turabi here on Sunday.

While condemning the assassination of Mr Turabi and terrorist incidents during the last few years, APMA said the commission should also recommend suggestions to stop the occurrence of such terrorist incidents in future.

The minorities’ alliance has also asked to call all political and religious parties conference for religious harmony and tolerance in the country. Pakistan is facing internal and external challenges due to anarchy, religious terrorism and sect extremism.

The hands behind such incidents are destroying religious harmony and peace in the country and also giving a bad image of Pakistan to the world. Assassination of religious leaders and attacks on religious places during the last few years are a matter of great concern.

Due to the present situation, APMA has appealed to the Supreme Court to constitute a commission which would view all terrorist incidents and conduct an open trial.

The commission should also expose all elements and objectives behind the incidents and bring the culprits to book.
