GUJRANWALA, July 15: The health department has set up special relief camps in Wazirabad, Wahando and Kamoki besides forming 103 mobile teams to provide medicines to people in case of flood.

District Health Officer Dr Riasat Ali Nahara said at a meeting held here on Saturday that the camps would work round the clock.

He said these areas have been divided into 11 zones and 39 sectors. Twenty beds at the DHQ hospital and 10 each at THQ hospitals in Kamoki and Wazirabad have been arranged to admit the flood affected people.

He said medicines for gastroenteritis, fever, snake and dog bite have been provided at the relief camps, while life saving medicine would be available at basic health units (BHUs) in remote areas.

SCHOOL BUILDINGS: The Punjab government has allocated Rs160 million for reconstruction of rundown buildings of educational institutions besides provision of other facilities to students and teachers throughout the district.
