ISLAMABAD, July 14: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that the government is trying to realise the potential of Balochistan and Rs133 billion allocated for developing the province is a manifestation of the government’s commitment to its progress.

Talking to Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf who had called on him at Prime Minister’s house on Friday, the prime minister said that efforts were being made to expedite development process in the province.

Mr Aziz said that the Public Sector Development Programme allocation for Balochistan this year had reached Rs30.6 billion from Rs7.1 billion in 1999.
