PESHAWAR, July 13: Peshawar Nazim Ghulam Ali has taken about 50 members of the district council to Kalam to celebrate the approval of the city government’s budget for 2006-7, according to sources.

A bus and at least four cars with more than 50 members of the district council left for the Kalam valley on July 10 on a six-day study tour, according to the district government staff.

Officials said the expenditure on the trip would be incurred from the official account as it had been arranged as a ‘study tour’. “About Rs50,000 will be paid as rent of the bus,” said an official.
