BAHAWALPUR: Vehari District Police Officer Tassawar Iqbal suspended ASI Kashif Sohail on the charges of torture of a boy .
According to the police, ASI Kashif Sohail allegedly tortured the boy, identified as Azbar. His mother, Mumtaz Bibi, protested against the ASI and her video went viral on social media.
DPO took notice and suspended the officer and launched an inquiry against him.
NARCOTICS: Dunyapur police arrested a drug peddler, Muhammad Saleem Dogar, a resident of Chak 305/WB and recovered 10 packets of about 11kg charas from his possession. He was lodged in the lock-up.
