Man arrested for slaughtering his two children

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man has been arrested for allegedly slaughtering his two minor children in Chak 557-GB in Tandlianwala tehsil of Faisalabad on Thursday.

Shazia Bibi, the mother of Dua Fatima (6) and Muhammad Ahmad (4), informed the police that her husband Asif Iqbal was a drug addict who often tortured her for money. She claimed that after a quarrel, she went to her parents’ house in the same street but the accused snatched all three of their children from her.

Later, her daughter escaped from his custody and came to her, after which the accused allegedly cut the throats of two of their children and fled.

Faisalabad Saddar SP Mehr Saeed Ahmad Sial and Tandlianwala DSP Ijaz Butt reached the village and shifted the bodies of the slain children to the Tandlianwala THQ Hospital for autopsy.

A press release issued by the CPO claimed that accused Asif Iqbal has been arrested.

BODY RECOVERED: The body of a minor boy Rajab Ali, who went missing from Chak 760 GB of Pirmahal tehsil on Wednesday, has been recovered from a sugarcane field outside the village on Thursday.

A case had already been registered by the Arouti Police, in which the victim’s father had told the police that his 7-year-old son had gone to take a bath at a tubewell and there someone might have abducted him.

Police claimed that upon receiving the information, DPO Akhlullah Tarar reached the spot along with SP Investigation Fazal Abbas and Pirmahal DSP Munir Ahmed.

The DPO met the parents of the deceased child, and assured them that the accused involved in this tragic incident would be arrested as soon as possible.

ACCIDENT: Two persons died in a collision between a tractor-trolley and a motorcycle near the Satwan Meel bus stop on Jhang Road in Faisalabad on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, the motorcycle was hit by a speeding tractor trolley and one person riding the tractor fell down on the ground while the motorcycle rider also lost control and fell under the tractor trolley. Both were crushed to death under the wheels of the tractor trolley.

The deceased have been identified as Yousuf (45 ), a resident of Toba Tek Singh, and Irfan (50), a resident of Chak 241 RB Chanchalwala.

DEPORTATION ORDERED: Faisalabad Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Jamil on Thursday sentenced an Afghan national and ordered his deportation from Pakistan.

The FIA Faisalabad composite circle had arrested illegal foreign national Kafaytullah Zakhalwal on February 3, who had been residing in the Samanabad area of Faisalabad without lawful documentation. A case was registered against him at the FIA Faisalabad Police Station.

The accused was apprehended by an FIA raiding team after failing to produce any valid visa or legal residency documents.

Court handed down two months imprisonment along with a fine of Rs100,000.

Considering the convict’s illegal status in Pakistan, the court ordered his deportation to his country of origin upon completion of the sentence. The Faisalabad district jail superintendent has been directed by the court to initiate necessary deportation proceedings in accordance with the law.

ENCOUNTER: A wanted suspect in a case of attempted rape of a seven-year-old girl was arrested after allegedly being injured by his own accomplices in an encounter with the Rajana Police early on Thursday.

Police claimed when the police signalled suspicious motorcyclists to stop near Chak 285 GB, they opened indiscriminate fire on the police party. During the exchange, police claimed some suspects fled leaving suspect Z in injured condition.

The police arrested him and shifted him to the Rajana RHC.

GANG RAPE: Two men gang-raped a woman by promising her a job in a foreign country.

Victim ‘I’ of Mohalla Asghar Colony in Gojra claimed in her complaint to the Gojra Saddar Police that she works in a beauty parlour and was acquainted with accused ‘A’ of Chak 358 JB, who was living in Dubai for some time.

She alleged that he promised to get her a job in a parlour in Dubai. She claimed that he called her to his village and accused ‘A’ took her to a room where ‘S’ of Mohalla Qadir Colony of Gojra was also present. She alleged they raped her at gunpoint.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.
