QUETTA: The Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT), in collaboration with the University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), will hold the first-ever Balochistan Investment and Trade Expo (BITE 2026) next month.

Preparations for the event were reviewed at a stakeholders’ meeting held at BUITEMS and chaired by BBoIT Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Kakar said the chief minister had directed the authorities to create a business-friendly environment and facilitate investors in the province. He said the government was taking steps to promote entrepreneurship and industrial growth, adding that BITE would serve as an important platform to advance that vision.

He said the expo would help project Balochistan as a peaceful and investment-friendly province while countering negative perceptions.

BUITEMS Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Mir Wais Kasi described the expo as a positive initiative and assured of the university’s full support for its successful organisation.

BBoIT CEO Qaim Lashari said the event would provide businesses, startups and young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to connect with investors, financial institutions and industry experts, opening new avenues for growth and collaboration.
