PESHAWAR, July 12: Chairman of Peshawar University’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication Professor Dr Syed Shah Jehan Kakakhel has said that after the success of the Campus Radio and Bulletin, work on a TV channel would be taken up soon.

He was talking to the students in the Campus Radio studio here on Wednesday. He said that the campus TV would be started with the help of the university administration and it would serve as a training centre for students of mass communication.

He said keeping in view the importance of media in the present era of globalisation new trends in journalism and advanced courses of communication had been included in the curriculum and the department had also started the much-needed M. Phil programme..—APP
