Two arrested in Dir over firing incident

LOWER DIR: Police on the other day arrested two suspects allegedly involved in opening firing on a motorcycle workshop in the Munda area of Lower Dir, officials said.

According to police,SHO Mohibullah and Munda police post in-charge Musa Kaleem, along with a police team, carried out a prompt operation and apprehended the two suspects identified as Sudais and Musa, shortly after the incident.

Police said a pistol allegedly used in the shooting was recovered from the suspects’ possession.

Two people sustained injuries when the suspects opened fire, police added.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident stemmed from a dispute over a financial transaction. Further investigation into various aspects of the case is under way, officials said.
