Three injured in Khanuzai mine tragedy

QUETTA: At least three people were injured after explosive material used in mining accidentally detonated in the Khanuzai area here on Saturday, police said.

According to them, the incident occurred near Panki in Khanuzai when two men were transporting explosive material on a motorcycle. The explosives suddenly detonated, leaving three people critically injured.

The injured were identified as Zahoor, Faisal and Mohammad Afzal.

Police said the victims were given initial medical treatment at a nearby health facility before being shifted to Quetta for further treatment due to the severity of their injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the blast.
