Two rape cases reported in Vehari

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was allegedly subjected to rape in a hospital while a man attempted to rape a minor boy in separate cases in Vehari district on Thursday.

Reports said victim ‘T’ had got her 1.5-year-old daughter admitted to Burewala THQ hospital when suspect ‘A’ came there. He allegedly raped ‘T’ in washroom of the hospital.

Model Town police on her complaint registered a rape case against the suspect and referred her to hospital for medical examination. Police claimed to have arrested the suspect.

In the second case, a man attempted to rape a minor boy in Mithankot.

Police said ‘R’ complained to the Mailsi city police that suspect ‘U’ allegedly abducted her 11-year-old son ‘A’ and later attempted to rape him. As the boy raised an alarm, locals gathered there while the suspect managed his escape. Police have registered a rape case against the suspect.
