ISLAMABAD, July 11: A militant organisation has threatened the FM 99 radio channel of dire consequences if it failed to wind up its operation in Muzaffarabad. Informed sources told Dawn that a threatening call was received by Producer News and Current Affairs Ishfaq Joya at his mobile phone from another mobile network. The caller introduced himself as an activist of the Anjuman Fidayan-i-Islam and said his Chief Abu Hureira had directed him to convey his message to the radio channel to leave Muzaffarabad to avoid any offence, as the activities of the channel, specially with “Save the Children” programme were suspicious.—By Our Reporter
