Man, brothers booked for his wife’s ‘murder’

OKARA: A man, with the help of his two brothers, allegedly stabbed his wife to death over some domestic issue in Muhammad Pura locality of Basirpur in Okara district.

As per the FIR, Uzama Bibi, was married to Farooq Ahmad some 10 years ago and the couple had four children. As per locals, the husband and wife would often quarrel over domestic issues.

The FIR says that two days ago the couple again quarreled. On knowing about the issue, Uzama s’ father, Mansha, along with his son and a nephew visited his daughter’s in -laws’ house to mediate and resolve the issue.

According to Mansha, when they reached Uzma’s house, Farooq was torturing her in a room, while his two brothers, Shukat Ali and Rab Nawaz, were standing guard on the door.

Later, he alleged, Farooq repeatedly stabbed Uzma with a knife, leaving her dead on the spot.

On seeing Mansha and others, the suspects fled the scene.

On Mansha’s complaint, Basirpur police registered a case under sections 302 and 34 of the PPC against the suspects without any arrest so far.
