KARACHI, July 11: At least 43 mobile phones and 18 vehicles were snatched at gunpoint or stolen from different parts of the city on Tuesday. Police said that a total of 18 vehicles, including eight cars and 10 motorcycles, were taken away in different localities of the city.

According to the police sources, six cars were snatched at gunpoint by armed bandits while two cars were reported stolen in different areas of the metropolis.

Of the total 10 motorcycles, two were snatched at gunpoint while seven were reported stolen in the city on Tuesday.

No recovery of the snatched vehicles was reported on Tuesday.

As many as 18 people were deprived of their cellphones by armed bandits while around 23 people reported that their mobile phones were stolen in different localities of the metropolis. Besides, two cellphones were reported missing on Tuesday.

An office-bearer of the Karachi Electronic Dealers’ Association was deprived of his mobile phone in the limits of Mithadar police station on Monday night.

A press release of the association stated that Shahid Ali was passing from the Campble Street when some unidentified armed men on a motorcycle intercepted him and snatched his cellphone at gunpoint.
