TOBA TEK SINGH: As many as eight staff members of the Jhang DHQ Hospital have been suspended following a Special Branch report exposing a bogus medico-legal scandal at the hospital and the arrest of two of the nine members of the gang by the Kotwali Police.

As per details, District Health Authority (DHA) CEO Dr Muhammad Younis suspended the officials from service on Wednesday for their involvement in the scandal.

The suspended officials include dispensers Hafiz Mehboob Elahi, Shahid Abbas and Muhammad Azhar Iqbal, ward servants Khawar Hayat and Mujeebur Rehman, cook Muhammad Ahmed Javaid, naib qasid Azhar Abbas, and security guard Abu Bakar.

Earlier, the DHA CEO had also removed District Medico-legal Officer Dr Irtzaul Hussain from his position.
