TRANSPARENT PACKAGING: It is often reported by consumers that when they open their juice packs, they find bugs and insects inside. In some cases, long-term storage may lead to the growth of mould inside the pack. If manufacturers shift towards transparent pack-aging, this health threat can be effectively addressed. Additionally, while large juice bottles are transparent, they are unaffordable for many people or are more than enough for a single individual. Therefore, the smaller 200ml and 250ml juice packs remain in demand. The authorities concerned and manufacturers should adopt transparent packaging for better consumer safety and trust.

LAND DEGRADATION: According to the United Nations Development Prog-ramme (UNDP), more than 38 million people in Pakistan were affected by land degradation in 2025. Land degradation not only harms the environment, but also reduces agricultural productivity, increases food insecurity, intensifies climate change, and creates economic hardship for millions, particularly farmers and rural communities. In 2025, the government introduced the Cholistan Canal Project to improve food security and restore degraded land in southern Punjab. However, the project faced opposition from Sindh due to concerns over water distribution. Pakistan must enforce anti-deforestation laws, introduce community-led grazing management, and resolve water disputes through a transparent commission comprising experts.

CHILDREN’S SAFETY: Child abuse cases are increasing across Pakistan. Child abuse leaves deep emotional and psychological scars on children. Many of them lose confidence, suffer from fear, and are unable to focus on their studies. Sadly, in our society, harsh treatment of children is often considered a form of discipline. This needs to change. Children must be treated with due kindness and love; not with violence.
