Lightning kills woman

RAWALPINDI: A woman was killed while two others were injured after being struck by lightning in the Chak Beli Khan area on Friday.

According to police, Ms Neelum, 32, was killed while Ms Zirshah Shams and her husband Ghulam Habib were critically injured after being struck by lightning.

All three people from the same family were heading towards their home on a motorcycle when they were struck by lightning. As a result, Ms Neelum was killed on the spot, while Ghulam Habib and his wife were critically injured

Shortly after the incident, the rescue 1122 staff with an ambulance reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Holy Family Hospital, where they were stated to be in critical condition.
