Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has spoken with Egyptian FM Badr Abdelatty, with the two discussing regional developments and stressing the importance of continued dialogue, the Foreign Office says.
“FM Abdelatty appreciated Pakistan’s continued mediation efforts, and both leaders expressed hope that ongoing efforts would lead to an early understanding between the parties, contributing to lasting regional peace and stability,” it said on X.
He also extended an invitation to Dar to attend the upcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) foreign ministers in Egypt later this month, which the deputy premier graciously accepted.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact.
