Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan last night, during which both sides discussed the evolving regional situation, the Foreign Office (FO) said.

In a statement, the FO said the two ministers “underscored the importance of dialogue and restraint” amid regional developments.

It added that both leaders “expressed hope for an early understanding among all parties which would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.”

“The two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest and continue high-level engagements to advance the multifaceted Pakistan–Turkiye partnership,” it said.
