RAWALPINDI: The commander-in-chief of Lebanese forces called on Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ, ISPR said on Tuesday.

Upon arrival at the GHQ, Gen Rodolphe Haykal was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the three services.

The discussions focused on strengthening professional interactions, training cooperation and institutional linkages between the armed forces of the two countries, the statement said.

ISPR said Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed during the meeting the “importance Pakistan attaches to its longstanding and cordial relations with Lebanon and underscored the Pakistan Army’s commitment to expanding defence collaboration with the Lebanese Armed Forces”.
