One killed, five injured in clash

LAHORE: A man was allegedly shot dead while five others were injured following a property dispute in the Hadyara area here on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Nawaz while the injured persons as Siraj Din, Shazia, Babar, Iqbal and Shafique, who were immediately shifted to a local hospital.

The injured persons told the police that Nawaz was working in the fields when his 11 rivals including Shoib, Rameez, Tariq etc reached there and scuffled with Nawaz. Meanwhile, according to the police, the relatives of Nawaz also reached the site and the armed men allegedly sprayed a volley of bullets.

Resultantly, Nawaz was killed on the spot while others suffered injuries, one of them critically.

The police reached the spot and launched further investigations.
