KARACHI: Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Sunday announced a free Artificial Intelligence (AI) summer camp at the Governor House, aiming to train students in modern technologies during the summer break.
Addressing a press conference at the Governor House, he said that the initiative would provide free AI training to students, stressing that early exposure to technology was critical for future growth.
“Any child who can use a mobile phone can learn AI with ease,” the governor remarked, adding that introducing children to modern technology and Artificial Intelligence from an early age was the need of the hour.
He said that developed nations invested in the education, research and skill-building of their younger generations from the outset. “Today, nations progressing in the world are those connecting their children with technology and innovation from an early age,” he said.
He said that government’s intent was to equip students with AI and modern skills at the school level. “AI education will open new doors for our youth in higher education, employment, innovation, and economic independence,” he said.
The governor said that the Governor House would continue taking practical steps to connect young people with future technologies.
