DERA GHAZI KHAN: A young man killed a nursing student and shot himself dead at the Mian Ibrahim Chowk in Shah Saddar Din, Dera Ghazi Khan.
The youth, identified as Tanveer, arrived in a car and opened fire on the girl as she was waiting for transport at the bus stop. A passer-by, Riaz Sarwar, tried to intervene and save her, but he too was shot. The girl died on the spot. The suspect then shot himself in the head and died by suicide.
The bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem.
The identity of the girl could not be confirmed.
