TAXILA: Former Federal Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan is recovering after undergoing a surgical procedure at a private hospital, according to family members and close associates.

A close aide, Sheikh Zeeshan Saeed,told Dawn here on Wednesday that the veteran politician’s health has improved considerably in recent days.

He noted that Ch Nisar has started walking with greater ease as part of his recovery process.Mr Saeed said that the medical sources confirmed that the surgery was carried out successfully and without any complications.

Doctors expressed their satisfaction over his post-operation progress, describing his condition as stable.

His close associate further said he is responding positively to treatment and rehabilitation, adding that his recovery has been progressing better than expected.

“Physicians have advised him to rest and follow precautionary measures for complete healing,” Mr Saeed added.

The 71-year-old politician had been facing mobility challenges after sustaining a fracture that affected his movement and overall health.

Following comprehensive medical treatment and continuous monitoring, the injury has healed significantly, enabling him to resume limited physical activity.
