RAWALPINDI: Three people were killed, while four others were injured in separate incidents in the city in the last 24 hours.

Mehboob Anwar, a resident of Chaklala, lodged an FIR with the police, saying that his elder brother Ghazanfar Azam lived in a separate house in Chaklala.

He said he was at home at 9:30pm on Sunday when one of his relatives called and informed him that Ghazanfar and his friend had been shot by unidentified persons in his house. He said he reached the house of his brother in Dhoke Myserwar and found Ghazanfar, 62, lying dead in a pool of blood along with his friend Najeebur Rehman. He said his brother had no enmity with anybody, neither his friend Najeeb had any dispute with anybody.

Later, the police arrived and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.

According to initial investigations, the incident seems to be a result of enmity.
