The rescue official said that the injured woman was initially shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chakesar from where she was referred to a hospital in Swat due to critical injuries.

Section 144 imposed

In a bid to enhance public safety and curb traffic violations, the district administration of Shangla has enforced a strict “No Helmet, No Fuel” policy across the district.

According to a notification issued by the administration, all owners, managers, operators and staff of petrol pumps and filling stations within Shangla are now legally prohibited from providing, selling or dispensing fuel to any motorcyclist who is not wearing a protective helmet.

The directive places the onus of compliance directly on the filling station staff, who must verify that riders are wearing helmets before serving them. Furthermore, all petrol pumps are required to prominently display awareness banners and signboards broadcasting the “No Helmet, No Fuel” rule to the public.

The administration has warned that any violation of this directive will attract stringent legal action against the concerned pump owners or managers.
