Man killed by friend over an old grudge

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man was killed by his friend over an old grudge in Railway Colony in the People’s Colony police area on Sunday.

Police said Imran Masih was attacked by Kashif Kashi with a chopper. As a result, he was critically wounded. He was shifted to Allied Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, in Chak 97/JB of Gojra, a man killed his brother.

Gojra Saddar police said Imran Mannha was a drug addict and his younger brother, Hafiz Muhammad Khalid, would often forbid him to leave drug addiction but in vain. On Sunday, Khalid opened fire on Imran who was seriously wounded and died instantly.

ACCIDENTS: A car driver died after his speeding car went out of control and overturned on Shorkot-Kabirwala Road near Adda Pul Bagghar. He was critically injured and died instantly. He was identified as Ammar Shah (28) of Shorkot.

In Khanewal, in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a speeding car, a motorcyclist died near a milk factory in tehsil Kabirwala.

Rescue 1122 officials identified the man as Akmal Manzoor (50), a resident of village Peerowal.

In yet another accident, a speeding bus ran over a motorcycle rider who died instantly at Nankana Sahib near Kot Sadhuram Bus Stop. He was identified as Ali Ahmad (13).

ARRESTED: Madina Town police in Faisalabad arrested a man for burning his wife alive over a domestic dispute.

Police said Samina Bibi of Chak 199/RB was found burnt to death at her house on May 21. Her husband Khalid Masih informed police that she was burnt in the house fire. However, police suspected his involvement and arrested him.

During investigation, he confessed that he had burnt his wife alive over a grudge.
