DERA MURAD JAMALI: Many people, including nine members of a family, fell seriously ill due to gastroenteritis in the Zain-Koh Loti area of Dera Bugti district.

Following severe vomiting and diarrhea, the affected people were immediately shifted to Sui’s Welfare Hospital, where they received emergency medical treatment.

Hospital officials said that due to timely and effective medical care, all patients were now out of danger and their condition had stabilised. A senior doctor at the hospital warned that more cases of gastroenteritis could emerge in the area due to extreme heat and the consumption of contaminated water.

He added that a special medical team comprising doctors and paramedics would depart for Zain Koh.
