ISLAMABAD: Security of churches across the federal capital has been enhanced on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza inspected the security measures at churches on Sunday.

During the visits, the SSP met with the officers and officials on duty, assessed their performance, and issued directives to further improve the security arrangements.

He inspected the deployment at the entry and exit points, parking areas, and surrounding vicinity of the churches, as well as the overall security plan.

While meeting with the church administration, SSP Operations said Islamabad police were actively engaged, without any discrimination, in ensuring the protection of life and property of citizens belonging to all religions.

He urged the public to fully cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the concerned police station or via the police helpline Pucar-15.

He further stated that mutual cooperation between police and the public was the foundation for maintaining peace and security, reaffirming that the top priority of Islamabad police was the protection of citizens’ lives and property, and enforcement of the rule of law.

Meanwhile Islamabad police organised special “Cricket Celebration” for children of martyrs.

On Saturday, the children of martyrs were taken to the cricket stadium where they watched the cricket match between Pakistan and Australia.

The children also had the opportunity to closely observe their favourite players in action, enjoy the most exciting moments of the match, and spend a memorable time filled with happiness and joy.

The purpose of the special activity was to encourage and entertain children of martyrs and provide them with pleasant experiences so that they feel valued and recognised as an important part of society.

SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen and Director Special Initiatives Shamsul Haq Durrani were also present with the children during the event.
