KARACHI, July 6: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy maintained at 89pc as eight ships were occupying berths to load and offload containers, rice, edible oil, sugar, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 60,675 tons comprising 41,998 tons of import and 18,677 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Nedlloyd Muscat, Camille, Qem Star and Density-1 left the port while CMA CGM Kingston was due to depart.

Three more ships, Natalia, Alabanda and Scan Bothina, with containers, canola seeds and general cargo were due on Friday.
