HONG KONG: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto declared today [May 20] that the fundamental principle of Pakistan’s foreign policy was to have friendship with all and enmity with none. He was addressing a large gathering of Pakistani community at a local hotel here this evening. He said Pakistan had cordial relations with Turkey, Iran and the Arab world. Similarly, Pakistan was having good relations with the Soviet Union. Pakistan had no differences or enmity with her. The relations with the United States were also good and efforts would be made to further strengthen them. Pakistan, he declared, would maintain good relations with all the Big Powers as in the past. … Prime Minister said that China occupied a special place in the foreign policy of Pakistan. Pakistan attached great importance to its relationship with her. … He said relations with India were becoming normal and there was now only the Kashmir issue left unresolved. — News agencies

[Meanwhile, according to news agencies from Addis Ababa,] All foreigners have been evacuated and all private radio communications closed down in northern Ethiopia where a large Christian peasant army is gathering in a Government move against Muslim Eritreans, diplomatic sources said today [May 20].
