LAHORE: Dashing openers Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub are currently recovering from injuries, and will not be available for selection for the upcoming One-day International series against Australia at home, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Wednesday.

According to the PCB, both the players have been advised to continue their rehabilitation programmes under the supervision of the Board’s medical panel.

Fakhar and Saim last played an ODI in November 2025 against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.

According to the schedule announced, the touring Australian squad will arrive in Islamabad on May 23 and face the Green-shirts in the first ODI at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30. The second and third ODIs will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on June 2 and 4.
