ISLAMABAD: The traders’ community in the federal capital has demanded relaxation in the lockdown just like in provinces.

The traders said businessmen have always supported and cooperated with the government to implement policies in the best interest of the country.

Sarfraz Mughal, former president of the Traders Welfare Association Super Market, said the government decided to impose a lockdown without consulting the businessmen, which was accepted by the business community.

“The government needs to understand the problems of traders seriously and try to solve them,” he said.

He said Federation of Pakistan President Atif Ikram, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sardar Tahir, central business leaders Ajmal Baloch, Kashif Chaudhry and Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders President Sheikh Tayyab have also made similar demands.
